点评:We’ve been to Trysil many times over the past 25years! and although it’s quite expensive in comparison with other European resorts, we loved it here because the people (Scandinavians) were absolutely lovely, the resort was generally fully open, with well groomed pistes that were accessible, and there was a variety of different slopes to cater to all abilities….
We haven’t been for the last 3 years but decided to go with family between 26th Dec and 2nd Jan…..to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Accepting the lack of snow over the last few weeks, only about a third of the runs were open, which is understandable. What wasn’t understandable or acceptable was the low level of piste maintenance and poor operational aspects of the resort. I’ll give a few examples. 1. On the Fagerasen side of the mountain, the main chair lift was F2, which was frequently closed due to high winds - despite no high winds being in evidence. When it was open, it closed sporadically due to ‘technical issues’. When this lift wasn’t operational, this effectively halted the number of available slopes in use. 2. Poor planning of T bar and button lift operations. Many of these lifts have two lines available but despite the large crowds, the resort only opened one line for the duration of the stay, effectively doubling the waiting time. As an example F7 only had one operational T bar, instead of the two. 3. Trysil used to be great at piste bashing…we barely saw any of this during our stay and all of the slopes we skied were packed hard base of ice with snow on top, making these sometimes difficult for inexperienced skiers to navigate!!. 4. We queued for 40 mins to get on the Tourist centre Gondola! The queue was managed in a crazy, disorganised way….please bring in a sensible system that could easily improve smooth operation and help speed up the process.
Overall we were surprised and disappointed with how the resort is managed today and unfortunately we won’t be back anytime soon!
