点评：In June 2022, MUDAC's location has moved from "Place de la Cathédrale 6, Lausanne 1005" to "Platform 10, Pl. de la Gare 17, Lausanne 1003".
4 stars for the Takahata Isao 高畑勳 exhibition (24.04. - 27.09.2026). Photos are not allowed in this exhibition. I liked the documentaries of Takahata Isao and Miyazaki Hayao visiting Switzerland together for location scouting.
2 stars for the staff who supervised the exhibition. Towards the end of the exhibition, I was in the middle of a room (distant from all objects), watching a video on the wall, but then a staff member came to ask me to “hold your tote bag in front of you at all times, otherwise your bag would touch the wall”. I said that I didn’t touch any objects or the wall, and that I knew how to behave in a museum. He said “It’s not about whether you did it or not. It’s the rule.”
After this encounter, I didn’t have the mood to continue the exhibition.
Upon leaving, I asked the front desk about the “rules” here. The reply was “just like you go to other museums, you don’t touch things, but this Isao exhibition particularly does not allow photos.” Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.
