A great place to appreciate animals!!
ABQ BioPark Zoo的点评
点评：Our visit to the Albuquerque Bio Park Zoo was nice and we saw as much animals as there was ouA t. The Zoo is in a midst of renovation and expansion with a new Australia section; therefore, there were some detours along the way.
The Penguin Chill is a great inside display where you are up close to the Macaroni & King penguins, especially if they are swimming around. It's just a bit of a problem to get nice photos of the penguins as they are splashing around athe the water drops are all over the windows. You just need to enjoy the epxperience of seeing them in action. Outside the Penguin Chill windows are displays of actual size penguins found around the world.
The new portion of the Australia Adventure had some Fairy Penguins swimming around the tank and the kookibura as well as colorful lorikeet birds were seen but access to the aviary was closed for the day.
A surprise when we walked up to the Western Lowland Gorilla display, the baby gorilla climbed up the top of the pole to pose for photos!! An unexpected moment for sure!!
Definitely a nice zoo to walk around as the environment where the the animals are housed resemble as much as their native habitat. Allow at least 2-3 hours for a walk around the zoo.
There is plenty of complimentary parking that is covered and there are also Senior and Military discounts for entrance fees.
