点评：Standing before the Belém Tower in Lisbon, I felt the weight of centuries pressing against the Tagus River. Built between 1514 and 1519 under King Manuel I, this fortress once guarded the harbor and marked the starting point of legendary voyages Vasco da Gama among them. Its stone walls have lived many lives: a military defense, a lighthouse, a customs post, even a political prison. Today, it shines as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, paired with the nearby Jerónimos Monastery, and as a proud symbol of Portugal’s maritime power. But for me, the tower wasn’t just history it was a moment. I sat beside it, the river breeze brushing past, and ordered a piña colada for the very first time. The sweetness of pineapple and coconut blended perfectly with the salty air, and sipping it while gazing at the tower gave me a sense of timelessness. It was as if the explorers who once departed from here had left behind not only stories, but a spirit of adventure that still lingers.
