点评:We recently spent a few days in Geneva and really enjoyed being near Lake Geneva throughout. This is the largest freshwater lake in Western Europe at 72 km in length and reaching depths of 310 metres.
At Geneva and the western end of the lake, you are able to see where the Rhône River feeds the lake. There are bridges that cross the river, promenades and gardens on the north and south sides of the lake, beaches and dedicated pool areas for swimming, boat jetties and plenty of opportunities to spend time at and on the water.
We very much enjoyed the Mouettes Genevoises rides across Lake Geneva connecting the north and south sides of the lake. Also walked up the pier close to the iconic Jet d'Eau Fountain, enjoying some refreshing water sprays to cool off on hot summer days. Took a couple round of drinks at the Restaurant de Plage off Quai Gustave-Ador. The lake is an excellent nature attraction for Geneva and something visitors can hopefully enjoy in multiple ways during visits to the city.
