Wonderful to be back inside the Harris - the collection has been curated and our visit was a joy

点评：We’d been eagerly awaiting the reopening of The Harris after its major, multi-year, multi-million pound refurbishment, and it has exceeded every possible expectation. It’s not just beautifully restored; it has been completely reimagined and given back to the people of Preston as a top-class cultural venue.
What was once a slightly bitty (though charming) collection is now presented with inspired curation. The new flow and interpretation are fantastic, connecting different exhibits in ways that are engaging and thought-provoking. We originally planned to pop in for an hour or so but ended up spending the entire afternoon completely absorbed—there's just so much to see and do.
We were also so pleasantly surprised to find that the brilliant Wallace & Gromit exhibition was completely free, which was a real treat for the whole family.
A special mention must go to every single staff member and volunteer we met. They weren't just helpful; they were incredibly friendly and visibly enthusiastic about the new space, which really added to the wonderful atmosphere.
I was also able to sign up for and receive a new library card - it took two minutes.
This isn't just a lick of paint; it's a total, triumphant transformation. The Harris has always been an incredible, standout example of civic architecture. I am now as enthusiastic about the inside as I have always been by the exterior.
