点评:One of Dubrovnik’s must-see attractions is its 1,940-meter-long, 25-meter-high city wall, built between the 13th and 17th centuries. It is 4–6 meters thick, and 3 meters thick along the sea. Several fortresses were built as part of the wall. There are several entrances, but at each one you have to climb a lot of high steps up the wall. In the summer, it’s best to go right when it opens, at 8 a.m., because it’s not too hot yet. I don’t recommend going during the midday hours because there’s almost no shade anywhere. Be sure to bring water with you and wear comfortable shoes, because it’s slippery. It took us almost 2 hours to walk around. The admission fee is very expensive: 40 euros for adults. We bought a Dubrovnik Pass for 40 euros, which allowed us to see even more sights. It’s worth walking all the way through because the view to the Old Town and the sea is beautiful.
