Concerns Over Animal Welfare
Tallinn Zoo的点评
点评：I visited Tallinn Zoo in September and, unfortunately, came away feeling very disappointed with the experience.
What concerned me most was the apparent condition and behaviour of some of the animals. For the entire time we spent at the polar near exhibit, one of the animals was constantly swimming up against one of the pains of glass in the same motion, before moving over to the pain of glass beside it to continue there. The polar bears appeared to be showing signs of distress, which was upsetting to witness. The seal also seemed particularly upset, and seeing these animals in what appeared to be an unhappy state really affected my overall impression of the zoo.
I understand that zoos have an important role in conservation and education, but animal welfare should always be a top priority. As a visitor, I found it difficult to enjoy the experience when I was left questioning the well-being of the animals.
Overall, I found Tallinn Zoo disappointing and left with serious concerns about what I had observed. I hope the zoo takes animal welfare seriously and continues to review the living conditions and well-being of its animals.
