点评：Kyoto Station is so much more than just a place to catch a train—it is an incredible sightseeing destination in its own right. The building is an absolute marvel of modern architecture, featuring a massive, towering atrium of steel and glass that feels like a futuristic cathedral of transit. The absolute highlight of the station is the famous Grand Staircase. Spanning several floors, the staircase is embedded with around 15,000 LED lights that put on a spectacular, animated light show after dark. Watching the steps light up with vibrant, seasonal designs—like cherry blossoms, autumn leaves, or festival patterns—is an incredibly unique and mesmerizing experience. Make sure to take the long escalators all the way to the top to cross the Skyway glass bridge for panoramic views of the city and Kyoto Tower! It’s the perfect, welcoming first impression of Kyoto.
