点评:This is just a review of the Bell Tower the Cathedral itself is beautiful.,like all Cathedrals. The Bell tower costs 3 euros to enter and for this you are taken to the tower by a person in The Ticket Office you are then locked in and told to ring a,telephone number on the wall to be let out.You then ascend the spiral stone staircase which has no safety rail or rope to aid you.You can stop off at various levels,as you go up to read about martyred Slovak priests who died ogr were jailed for their Religion. As you get near the top, where there is a viewing platform snow drifts in and accumulates on the narrow parts of the stairs as you try to search for handholds in the wall or grab the steps in front. Finally if some catastrophe has not befallen you,you get to the viewing platform where they have helpfully put up chicken wire to stop you climbing out .The views are breathtakingly excellent of Kosice and its environs but this spoilt by the knowledge you now have to descend 164 partially slippery stone steps without benefit of handrails or even a cheap rope .
Having reached the bottom in a trembling claustrophobic state you then have to ring the given number to be allowed out.Fear and trepidation it definitely makes a holiday memory!!
