点评:A true hidden gem in Victoria! All the tour guides are SO knowledgable about all the insects in their care and their enthusiasm is infectious, even if you're not usually a fan of bugs.
The staff is truly what makes this an above and beyond experience. They are equally excited to tell a three-year-old how many legs an insect has as they are to discuss the complex genetic reproductive abilities of leaf cutter ants with a PhD candidate.
Also, I'm usually a "will only touch it with a 10-foot pole" kind of person when it comes to bugs, but I had a wonderful time handling all different types of bugs they offered to let us hold. Turns out, it's really comforting to have a professional tell you that whatever it is they're holding is actually physically incapable of biting or stinging you!
We definitely underestimated the amount of time we would want to spend here, but, fortunately, they offer hand stamps, so we were able to return in the afternoon.
