Very pleasant little park, supposed to be the 2nd oldest state park in Florida.
Highlands Hammock State Park的点评
点评:I came here because I was visiting Sebring, and this lovely state park was a short car ride from my hotel on Lake Jackson. The park has several trails along the paved road, with roadside parking next to two of them. There is a tram ride of 1 1/2 hours available at the country store near the entrance, but we walked the trails instead. We spent about 3 hours walking the relatively short trails (around 11 of them) and it was a pleasant walk back to nature. Since it was April, it was not too hot, and we were only bothered by pesky sand flies on the trail that goes by water. There is a boardwalk, and a cat walk but the cat walk was closed to the public. There are campgrounds, which were closed when we went, but no kayak or canoe rentals. You can rent bikes and ride the paved path that loops around the park.
