An Outstanding First Presidential Library Experience
William J. Clinton Presidential Library的点评
点评：The William J. Clinton Presidential Library & Museum exceeded every expectation I had. This was my first presidential library, and while I expected to learn about a presidency, I didn't expect to become so interested in the story of the person behind the office.
The museum is beautifully organized and takes visitors chronologically through Bill Clinton's life, beginning with his childhood and continuing through his years in public service and the White House. The exhibits are informative without feeling overwhelming, and there are plenty of interactive displays that keep the experience engaging.
One of my favorite areas was the full-size Oval Office replica. I also loved seeing the incredible collection of gifts presented by leaders from around the world, along with the exhibits showcasing President Clinton's daily schedule books and the shelves representing the millions of archived presidential documents. Those displays really put into perspective the enormous responsibilities of the presidency.
The building itself is an architectural masterpiece. Overlooking the Arkansas River, the modern glass structure offers beautiful views and makes the museum enjoyable for photographers as well as history enthusiasts. The staff and volunteer docents were friendly, welcoming, and eager to answer questions.
We spent about two and a half hours here and easily could have stayed longer reading more of the exhibits. Even if you don't consider yourself a political person, don't let that keep you away. This museum is as much about history, leadership, culture, and the American presidency as it is about politics.
If you're visiting Little Rock, I highly recommend making time for the Clinton Presidential Library. It was one of the highlights of our visit to Arkansas and has inspired me to visit more presidential libraries in the future.
