点评:A very large historic temple complex, not one but 23 separate but related temples on a terraced mountainside. Parts date back 2000 years and certainly a place of worship dating back to the 13th century. A huge car park necessary for religious ceremonies when tens of thousands of people attend each day for more than a week hence the multi storey car park. There were a just a few dozen people when we were there. A bus transfer and a free guide is included. It seems this is where many complaints about this site refer to being pressed into purchasing offerings etc. Either you are inexperienced to fall for this or your tour company is failing to inform you it is not necessary and be aware.
Most of the inner temples are closed for Hindu followers only but visible from outside and are immense stone structures straddling the hillside. Some parts undergoing renovation, other parts complete and colourful. An impressive piece of history and current culture.
