beautiful old town ruined by modernisation
凤凰古城的点评
点评：This is an old town right along the riverbank. It has revolved into a modernized city at nite. There are renovations on one side of the river which ruins some of the scenery plus all the plastic decorations along the river bank which causes the old city to lose its charm. When night falls there are lots of people with music coming out from the bar which also contribute to the loss of tranquility and serenity.
You have to be careful at nite to navigate through the cigarette laden crowd to take a good camera shot(which is hardly feasible!). Most of the favorite camera shot places are also taken up by photographers who do good business for the tourist which show up in their costume dresses which literally occupy the photogenic spot as they will take lots of time for posing . (When you see them in costumes no need to wait! just walk on......) Comparing with the same old town 15 years ago it has changed with air conditioner sticky out from wooden buildings which ruin the sightseeing mood.
Also as one is steering along the river bank on wet cobblestone BECAREFUL as you may get bumped into the river as the current are quite strong!
If you havent seen any old town along the river bank, then it is worth visiting

如果您还没有游览过河岸边的古镇，那么非常值得一去。
