点评：We were lucky enough to stumble upon reviews on Hashem AlShareef, and I reached out to him via WhatsApp, and responded to my inquiry within a couple of hours, even though it was the middle of the night in Riyadh! I arranged a trip for a family visit (with adult kids) we were planning there on our way to Oman. Hashem planned the day with a pickup at our hotel, a stop at Diriyah (a location that represents the rich Saudi history and the amazing recent development wrapped up in one incredible place - all explained by Hashem) on our way to the Edge of the World. Do not leave Riyadh without visiting this amazing, vast canyon in the desert (honestly way more impressive than the Grand Canyon, and far fewer people). Hashem knows all the best spots as well as the canyon’s remarkable geography (and all the best pictures to take, which he does for you and sends at the end of trip, so you can just enjoy taking it all in). His knowledge, stories and truly welcoming and friendly personality make the experience all the more special. He will provide special Saudi coffee and dates at the edge of the canyon after the sun goes down to wrap up the day, before heading back to drop you at your hotel. This is truly a must-see experience with a must-hire guide. One thing of note, there is lots of conflicting info out there about how far/difficult the drive is. It’s less than 90 minutes from the center of Riyadh, along very smooth roads (and in Hashem’s comfortable SUV), with just 10 minutes of off-road driving to get to the parking literally at the Edge of the World. Hashem knows the off-road part so well that he absolutely minimizes the bumps. Cell signal is spotty, and not knowing the way, makes having a professional guide like Hashem highly advisable.
