点评：The Yellow Crane Tower has been destroyed and rebuilt several times throughout history: that is explained in the film prior to the show and is a matter of pride related to its resilience.
Entrance for Adults: CNY 70 during the peak season (April 1 to October 31), and CNY 60 during the off-season (November 1 to March 31). There is no need to pay for a group tour or tour guide to take you there as it is easily reached using the metro. It is more convenient to buy a ticket beforehand , eg on trip.com.
Visiting the Yellow Crane Tower in the days leading up to Chinese New Year is one of the best times to go as there are relatively few people. It is always very quiet just before New Years Day then insanely busy right after New Years Day. There was no queuing to get into the grounds or the tower itself when I was there.
Inside the tower it is possible to climb to the top fooor and is managed by a one way system. The elevator is available for the elderly, physically disabled and for parents with children under three, everyone else has to pay if they want to use it.
You need to plan for a couple of hours to visit - a bit longer if you include the show that happens every half an hour. The show is 50RMB and a bit more if you want a seat in the front two rows ( which includes a drink). It is ok if you want to see some dancing….you can buy tickets at the performance venue.
When in the area be sure to explore the streets and alleys on foot.
