点评:This is my first time in Mexico. Like most other reviews mentioned ,most of the vendors selling same stuff. If you target on any souvenirs, make sure to walk around and bargain. Honestly, I don’t find anything too interesting. I am actually very disappointed that there is nothing unique souvenirs or crafts.
BIG WARNING: DON’T eat inside the market. I expected to pay more like most tourist places. But I found it bit outrageous that their prices are even higher or same as what my hotel charges(e.g. 120 piso - small plate of guacamole , 120piso - smoothies, 100 piso for one taco ) if the food is authentic and yum, I don’t mind paying tourist price. But the food is just fair and American style ….. small potion).
Try to go out the edge of the market, prices are 1/3 of the price.
Btw, if you are thinking to check out this or the Mercado 23. As other travelers’ suggestions to check out the 23 instead due to less touristy. I went to both. Save your trip to Mercado 23. Yes- it’s definitely more local. Meanwhile, not as many varieties of souvenirs. Yes - people are less aggressive. But nothing really interesting there neither.
