点评:Bank of Wear Hospitality at the Stadium of Light has just raised the bar for fine dining at the Football!
From the moment the first plate landed, it was clear this wasn’t ticking a hospitality box, it was a proper, thoughtful dining experience that just happened to be happening on matchday. Starter was Scallop, Celeriac, Spruce and it was beautiful, without a doubt the best Scallop I have ever had delicate, clean flavours, and that little hit of spruce that made it feel genuinely special. After the first bite I sliced it as thinly as possible to make the experience last! Paired with a Hubert Brochard Font Audon Sancerre, it was absolutely spot on crisp, and refreshing, a solid choice for the dish.
The main course was just as good the Herdwick Lamb, Mint Kombucha, Kohlrabi, paired with Ciacci Piccolomini d’Aragona Rosso di Montalcino, I am not 100% sure what that all is but, the lamb was superb, perfectly cooked and the mint kombucha brought a clever freshness that cut through perfectly without ever feeling like it was trying too hard. The whole dish was perfectly balanced again I was making it last!
Dessert was Black Apple Cake, Yoghurt Whey Butterscotch, Crème Fraîche Ice Cream it was rich, sharp, creamy, without being heavy.
Half-time brought out a brilliant Guinness cake and coffee, and post-match, I was too full to take on the Steak & Stout or Butter Chicken pies, maybe I can step up the next time!
I’ve been lucky enough to visit a lot of the top stadiums across Europe, and I don’t say this lightly: this is the best food I’ve had in any stadium setting. Not “good for a stadium” genuinely outstanding food full stop. If you’re coming to the Stadium of Light and you’ve got the chance to do Bank of Wear Hospitality, do it. You’ll remember the meal as much as the match

甜点是黑苹果蛋糕配酸奶乳清奶油糖和鲜奶油冰淇淋,口感浓郁、酸爽、顺滑,却又不腻人。
中场休息时,服务员端上了美味的吉尼斯蛋糕和咖啡。赛后,我实在太饱了,吃不下牛排黑啤派或黄油鸡肉派了,下次或许可以挑战一下!
我有幸参观过欧洲许多顶级体育场,我绝非夸大其词:这是我在所有体育场馆里吃过的最棒的食物。不是那种“还不错”的,而是真正意义上的顶级美食。如果你要来光明球场,并且有机会体验韦尔银行贵宾款待,千万不要错过。你会对这顿饭和比赛一样印象深刻。
