点评:My wife and I joined Tommy and Saundra O’Sullivan for the Dingle Peninsula Tour in 2025. We stayed at the wonderful Benners’s Hotel in the middle of Dingle Town during a food festival held right outside our door. We traveled out from there to visit other locations on the Dingle Peninsula. This is not what we would call a “tour”. It was a highly personal experience in which you felt you might be part of the O’Sullivan family. It was a blend of Tommy’s passionate tales of historic figures and places, Saundra’s planning and warmth and at the pub at night listening to them and other world class musicians playing traditional Irish music – a total immersion into Irish culture. The Irish people we met like “John from Tralee” that drove our small bus were all so interesting. One special memory was the visit the Blasket Centre on the coast that detailed the community of people that lived on the Great Blasket Island until they evacuated in 1953 due to the harsh conditions. There is a haunting song- Port na bPúcaí: (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C5QqFapcuw) that captured the community’s oneness with the sea.
We were joined by 2 other couples from the US- Greg & Sharon and Johnny & Sharon. We all bonded over this very rich experience. It really had memories to last a lifetime.
We received much more in return for what we paid.

我们与另外两对来自美国的夫妇——格雷格和莎伦,以及约翰尼和莎伦——一同前往。这次意义非凡的经历让我们彼此更加亲近,留下了终生难忘的回忆。
我们付出的远比得到的要多得多。
