The biggest issue was the attitude of the front desk staff. From check-in onward, I felt more like an inconvenience than a paying hotel guest. For a property that charges premium rates, the level of hospitality was surprisingly poor.
The resort also lacks many of the amenities travelers expect when booking a Caribbean hotel. There is no beach experience, you can forget about a pool, and few places for hotel guests to relax during the day. If you're expecting a resort where you can spend your days lounging by the water with attentive service, this is not it!
What became increasingly clear during our stay was that the property appears to prioritize the constant stream of restaurant and bar customers arriving by boat over the guests actually staying at the hotel. The restaurants and public areas were busy with day visitors, while hotel guests seemed to be an afterthought. Service was focused on turning tables and serving transient visitors rather than creating a quality experience for those paying to stay overnight.
The setting is beautiful, but the overall experience felt mediocre and overpriced. There are far better options in the BVI for travelers seeking genuine hospitality and a true resort experience.
