交河故城的点评
点评：Not worth it at all. It is a ruined ruin...i.e. it is ruined completely as a place of any authenticity. As is the domestic norm, it has been "recreated" into somewhat of a theme park. Not restored, no. Rebuilt. You're also not permitted to go anywhere other than where the four foot path takes you. Absolutely worthless by any aesthetic, archaeological, cultural or historic metric. Don't go; though should you ignore the advice, the entrance fee is 70.00 (though you can buy a Turpan ticket that grants you access to most of the "archeological" sites in the area, which is much cheaper). There is a scam "ancient" village too...it's really an absolute joke that is an additional 35, should you want to throw some extra money in the trash. The only redeeming factor were the staff, who were mostly all friendly. This was low season and it was very quiet in the afternoon, though there were NO drinks available as all the machines and stalls were abandoned or closed for the season. Staff kindly allowed us to refill our bottles with their own water. I reiterate...this is not worth it for any real traveller.
