Absolute Rip-off! The most expensive takeaway meal I have ever had!
Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary的点评
点评：The trip to the island was supposed to be a morning 4 hour visit. It was for some R&R for a team of volunteers who had been doing charitable work in Kumi for two weeks.
We were told to be at the dock at 0845. We booked the morning trip as we had to be at Entebbe in the afternoon for our flight home.
After hanging around for 30 minutes or so, we were told that the boat was being refuelled and the boat would arrive shortly. Then there was a problem finding a boat driver!
We eventually left the dock an hour and a half late to do the 25 kilometre journey to the island. The 'captain' didn't know where he was going. He had a GPS screen in front of him but was incapable of following a straight line to the island. He was navigating by line of site, which was inpossible owing the poor visibility. He turned left and right and even performed U turns! One of our party then navigated for him on Google maps!
The journey took around an hour and a quarter, which left us very little time on the island. We had only about 20 minutes or so to see the chimpanzees being fed, then got back on the boat with our takeaway lunch!
When the boat was delayed in the morning, they told us to go to the restaurant for some coffee. Then had the temerity to present a bill for the coffee which our organiser refused to pay.
All in all, this was a complete disaster costing £81 GBP. The most expensive takeaway meal I have ever had!
