点评：If you're driving along Du Sable Lake Shore Drive in downtown Chicago, near Navy Pier and Millennium Park, you can't miss it. Lake Point Tower. It stands out like a skyscraper in the desert, the only high rise on the East side of the highway. Opened in 1968, it was the tallest apartment building in the world at the time and remains a significant part of the Chicago skyline, an exclusive address. Designed o be a glass-curtain skyscraper, the building's three arms are equally spaced at 120 degree angles. Just about every one of 750 units in the 70-story building has a view of Lake Michigan and no unit looks directly into another. An oasis in the city, within walking distance of Navy Pier and the Magnificent Mile and Millennium Park and Oak Street Beach, Lake Point Tower features a private 2.5-acre park, a year-round four-lane heated swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, business center, spa, recreation room, library, a 700-car parking garage and retail shopping, even a dental office. A four-star restaurant, Cite, on the 70th floor, closed in 2020. Almost 60 years old, Lake Point Tower remains the most luxurious residential building in Chicago.
