Lingaraja Temple的点评
点评：This temple is situated in a large complex and has great architecture in the Kalinga style. There are small temples inside and the main big dome houses Lord Shiva.
Even though the crowd was not too much, it was a chaotic situation inside the temple with no crowd regulation and people pushing and shoving.
Having had a nasty experience with crowd behaviour at the Jagannath Temple, I decided not to go for a darshan and prayed outside.
Cameras ,bagpacks, or mobile phones are not allowed in this temple. The shoestand is where you have to deposit them. This is a mad place with one or two attendants, who take your phone and shoes. If you are a polite person waiting for your turn, you can wait forever. Best thing to do is to leave everything in your car or one person in your group should hold your phones and shoes outside . My husband and I went separately for this reason.
Admission is free, and the whole visit excluding the darshan should take an hour.
