We travelled 2 hours for a 13:00 booking, but you’re required to arrive at 12:30 for the briefing, so in reality we had just 20 minutes’ notice of the cancellation. We received a call at 12:10 to say it was cancelled due to snow overnight. If they needed to cancel, that’s understandable — but the timing is completely unacceptable.
When we spoke to Sarah (who I believe is the owner or manager), she claimed she had “called us” and then tried to put the blame on me for not answering. I explained that I was driving and had no signal, and her response was that one of the passengers could have answered instead. That was incredibly rude and dismissive. Even if I had answered, it would not have changed anything — calling at 12:10 still only gives a 20-minute cancellation window when people have already travelled hours.
There was no apology that felt genuine, no attempt to take responsibility, and no goodwill gesture whatsoever — not even a hot coffee after wasting our entire day, fuel, and time. The way this was handled shows a serious lack of customer care and basic professionalism.
When everything runs smoothly, this place can be good — but this last-minute cancellation and the attitude we received completely let them down. This was handled terribly and needs serious improvement.
