Polish Your Cooking的点评
点评：We celebrated a birthday with a group of 12 people. The experience was terrible, and we have something to compare it to.
The organization was non-existent. We expected to be immersed in the cooking experience from the very beginning, but in reality, we were just handed printed instructions on paper. When we had questions, a lady would come over and help, but her answers often contradicted the recipe. For example, the recipe said to finely chop the onion, but she said, “It’s fine like that” — even though it was chopped very roughly.
On top of that, the space was very small and cramped, making cooking uncomfortable. The venue didn’t feel prepared to handle a group of our size. To make matters worse, the smell in the room was like an old cafeteria, which completely killed any sense of a premium cooking experience.
As a result, the dishes turned out barely edible. I can confidently say this because we had attended a cooking class before, where we were provided with full service, proper guidance, and great tips from the chef. Everything there was on a high level and the food turned out amazing. Here, the host was basically disengaged the entire time and only at the very end tasted the dishes to announce a winner.
We did not enjoy it at all. It was especially upsetting that we paid a large amount of money expecting a top experience, but instead got something very mediocre. Very disappointed and angry.
