Newport Roman Villa的点评
点评：This is a hidden gem and well worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood. The Villa remains aren't extensive, and you could do the whole site in an hour or so, but nevertheless it proved to be a very interesting visit. The interpretation panels are very informative and provide a lot of information not just about the Villa but Roman life in Britain generally. There was only one staff member on the day but she was extremely helpful and added to the visit through her knowledge of the site. She also went and got our 2 dogs some water to drink (yes you can take your dogs with you to the Villa) which they very much welcomed as it was a fairly warm day. We felt the entrance fee was very reasonable although, please note, they can't do contactless payments but can still take card payments through other means or you can pay cash of course. The Villa is actually located within a housing estate and there is free on street parking near to the Villa and we had no problems getting parked.
