Cellular Jail的点评
点评：Visited the Cellular Jail and honestly, it’s one place that really stays with you.
The whole place is very well maintained, but what hits you is the history behind it. Walking through the original cells of the prisoners gives you a very real, slightly heavy feeling… you can actually imagine what it must have been like.
The light and sound show is something I would say is a complete must-watch. It’s beautifully done, very well managed, and the way it narrates the history makes it even more impactful. You don’t just hear the story, you actually feel it.
Also saw the historic peepal tree, which strangely becomes one of the most memorable parts… just standing there, knowing it has witnessed everything over the years.
Overall, a very moving experience. Not just sightseeing, but something you actually take back with you.
Entrance fee for jail is 30₹ per adult. Kids below 10 are free. And 300₹ for light and sound show.
Light sound show has timings 5.30pm 6.30pm and 7.30pm. Even traffic outside was very well managed by police and staff
