Boyd Lake State Park的点评
点评：We were a group of 7 senior-aged women walking on the trail in May 2026. At the trailhead, the bathrooms were closed. We walked a mile + before coming to another set of bathrooms. Unfortunately, these were also closed. A 73-year-old in our group needed to pee. And those of you of this age understand that waiting sometimes is not possible. She found a hidden place, waited for passersbys to pass, and then peed outside. Unbeknownst to her, a worker at the park, who was approximately 150 yards away, saw her and reported her to the ranger.
The ranger approached us and was incredibly offensive in how she handled the situation. The elder woman said she understood it was not the right protocol, but that she did not have a choice. The ranger insisted on taking the name and birthdate of the woman and told her that if she ever did it again, she would be registered as a sex offender.
This kind of behavior by the ranger was unnecessary and bordered on harassment and age discrimination. She was clearly not trained in how to handle such situations and chose to shame the elder woman, who was put in a very uncomfortable situation by the park not providing adequate bathrooms. This was a situation that could have been handled much more effectively. Instead, there are now 7 locals who can no longer recommend this park to others.
