点评:We had a very great first experience of this venue.
We choose to travel by train as the station is only about 5 - 10 minutes walk away.
Easy to use website to book our tickets.
Ticket prices were reasonable.
It was David Olusoga talking about the history of tea. He was absolutely amazing, a great crowd pleaser. Obviously very popular as hall was full and they had put out extra (removal) seating. Our seats were in good position to see David and close to a door so we could make a quick exit. But not very comfortable seats (hence no 5 stars).
The area we all had to wait in before doors opened was packed and there was little seating available. This was a challenge for my partner who really needed to sit down. (hence no 5 stars).
The venue was so hot (well there was a heat wave on at the time) and I felt uncomfortable.
The staff (volunteers?) were helpful and friendly staff. Did not attempt to get to bar because of crowd and queue.
Toilets were clean but as per the norm for most places it was along queue for the women.
Well worth a visit. Will check the website as I hope other performances there will be something we want t see.
