点评：Having done L'omerins and the motor museum the last time I visited the wine lands, this time I dragged my Paarl based family to a vineyard they had not done before. No booking required, a quiet Friday morning and headed for the premium tasting far into the estate. It was an amazing, proper South African wine tasting, the toe that made me fall for this place years ago. Beautiful surroundings, exquisite manor house, knowledgeable, friendly and outgoing hosts and sommeliers, not sticking to the prescribed wine choices from the menu " if you liked that, perhaps I have something special you would like" ..... 2 and a half hours later, with port, spirits and various different wines sampled, you leave with bags laden, a rosy glow and a massive smile on your face. Anthonij Rupert may have incredible wealth, but he wants to share the family wines with everyone. They have multiple wine makers for their multiple brands, all at very reasonable value. Pretty much every grape you could think of except get the malbec planted! After that, the other wine tasting experiences were a bit underwhelming, but it's all relative isn't it.
