点评:We visited today after seeing that Beacon Fell advertised accessible wheelchair routes and all-terrain wheelchairs. Unfortunately, after driving nearly an hour with our disabled son, we found this to be very misleading.
The scenery itself is beautiful, but it was not genuinely wheelchair friendly for our family. The terrain was extremely difficult, and there were no all-terrain wheelchairs available as stated. This made what should have been a lovely family day out become stressful, upsetting, and disappointing.
I think places really need to understand how important accurate accessibility information is for families with disabled children. We plan days out carefully, and when accessibility claims are incorrect, it doesn’t just inconvenience people — it can completely ruin the experience and leave disabled visitors feeling excluded.
I’m leaving this review not out of anger, but in the hope that accessibility information is improved so other families know what to realistically expect before travelling.
