点评:We took the on-the-half-hour shuttle bus from downtown Skagway which is five dollars each way plus gratuity. The cemetery and waterfalls are at the same place. The cemetery is actually a real place with some real tombstones. The rest are tablets made of some sort of modern materials with magic marker names on them and corney slogans like R.I.P., etc. We quickly abandoned this and headed up the hills to the falls about a 15-20 minute walk (incidentally, EVERYBODY asks “how far is it?” So maybe a sign would be in order here. It is worth walking up to the waterfall. Skagway is so over touristed that we recommend you book the White Mountain train a long time in advance and try to do the longer one (bring your passport). Do the National Park Service Welcome Center in the Historic Rail Station in town. Reminder; in the summer months, as many as 40,000 people can descend on this little town from the cruise ships. Do the train, pick up a few souvenirs and head back to the ship. Very historic and interesting place, but well, it’s like going to the State Fair on a busy day.
