Museum volunteers give a five-star experience

点评：An excellent museum with a focus on the aircraft heritage from the Gloucester area. I was made to feel extremely welcome from the moment I stepped through the door and spoke with the first volunteer.
The volunteers are certainly a key part of the five-star experience. I had an excellent guided tour of the Vulcan cockpit and a quick chat with a volunteer who flew on these amazing planes. There was also a really interesting talk on aircraft black box and Instrument Landing System technology aboard the Trident. Having volunteers who have lived and worked with these aircraft brings the experience to life.
The museum is supported by donations, and it was great they had a card machine for donations for those of us that rarely have cash. There was plenty of free parking outside, clean toilets, a cafe and shop. I spent an enjoyable 90 minutes here.
