St. Annes Old Links Golf Club的点评
点评：Played a practice round and 2 x competition rounds with 122 competitors there this week. As with pretty much all courses at present due to the numerous heatwaves the fairways and rough are hard, bouncy and yellow, the tees are really good and the greens are stunning though.
The clubhouse staff were really nice and friendly and happy to help any way they could. Day 1 saw some heavy overnight & early morning rain unfortunately for the low handicap starters but by 9.30 the rain had gone and the vast majority of competitors had a dry and enjoyable round apart from a heavy 5min downpour in the late afternoon. Day 2 saw more overnight rain but the sun came out early and everyone’s wonderful conditions. There was a fair bit of wind on both days but it’s a links course and that’s what makes them tough and a challenge to most competitors, although a couple of dodgy handicaps spoilt things.
We will certainly return again to challenge the course again next year.
There are some stunning views across the course both from the clubhouse end and the airfield end looking back to the clubhouse.
