A Perfect Day on Lake Como

点评：My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary touring Lake Como with Tommaso in his water taxi, “That’s Amore”. He contacted us the morning of our scheduled, 4-hour tour to introduce himself and confirm our meeting location.
Upon boarding the boat, he took the time to understand what we would like to see and made recommendations to help us plan the day. Our first stop was a visit to Varenna, where we walked the town with a gelato. The cobblestone alleyways were quaint and offered excellent photo opportunities.
Once we re-boarded the taxi, we continued cruising the lake. Tommaso would stop in front of points of interest (famous hotels, villas, and gardens). He would provide in depth knowledge of the history. Tommaso then offered us prosecco which made the trip even more romantic.
The weather was exceptional and the lake traffic was low, making the entire day PERFECT. My wife and I are very well-traveled and have gone on many tours, but we struggled to remember one any better than this day.
