A useful late-evening refuge before a red-eye flight

点评：We ended up at City Stars Mall because we had several hours to kill before our 3 AM flight out of Cairo, and it turned out to be a surprisingly practical choice. The mall is enormous, air-conditioned, and open late — until around 11 PM — which made it a convenient place to decompress, eat, walk around, and avoid sitting at the airport for far too long.
I am not usually enthusiastic about shopping malls, but City Stars has enough scale and variety to make a few hours pass comfortably. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and places to sit, so it works well as a temporary refuge between hotel checkout and a late-night airport departure.
That said, the signage is terrible. For such a massive complex, wayfinding should be much better. It was unnecessarily confusing to locate certain exits, restaurants, and sections of the mall. A place this large needs clearer directories and more intuitive navigation.
The mall itself is clean, lively, and useful, though not exactly a cultural highlight of Cairo. It is more of a practical, comfortable stop than a destination I would plan my day around. Still, if you have a late flight and need a safe, climate-controlled place to spend three or four hours, City Stars is a very good option.
One thing to note: smoking may be allowed in some areas, so choose your restaurant or café carefully if that bothers you.
