Basically, from what I experienced the village is mostly closed. Stores close their doors based on bookings in the area so if you’re after specific kit, don’t bet on a range of stores being open.
As for the MTB trails, I booked three days of lift passes. On day one, I quickly realised the quality control on these trails is not up to standard.
Not by a long shot.
I’ve ridden many council maintained trails that are in far better condition than these. Started the day by doing some reconnaissance on greens and blues - all rutted out. And yes, my bike is well specced and dialled in for these trails. It sucks when you see videos on social media of manicured trails advertising Thredbo and then arrive to a vastly different experience.
If I had children who are still learning the ropes, I would not send them down these. The damage on the green trails makes it unsafe for early beginners.
Signage is another issue - you’ll find yourself in a fork in the trail with no signage. I saw many people stopping to figure out where they were, including myself. My husband and I had to pull off and check trail forks to figure it out and help other families.
Signage from the snow season was also still left up.
It feels as if these trails haven’t been looked at with any frequency which is disappointing considering the price point of hotel + passes for this area. As the gondola opens at 9.30 and closes by 4, I would have thought there was a fair chunk of day light left for trail maintenance.
My recommendation is to go support your local shuttles and ride trails that aren’t corrugated to 💩 . Your wallet and repetitive strain injury prone wrists will thank me.
I’ll be spending my money elsewhere for both MTB trails and for ski seasons. Disappointed to say the least.

雪季的路标也还保留着。
感觉这些步道很久没人维护了，考虑到这个地区酒店和通行证的价格，这真令人失望。缆车早上9:30开放，下午4点关闭，我以为还有相当多的白天时间可以用来维护步道。
我的建议是，支持当地的班车服务，去那些路面平整、没有坑坑洼洼的步道骑行。你的钱包和容易受伤的手腕都会感谢我的。
我以后会把钱花在其他地方骑山地车和滑雪。真是太失望了。
