DEFINITELY WORTH A VISIT
Tjolöholm Castle的点评
点评：Visited from a cruise ship while docked in Gothenburg. Firstly it is not a hotel but a visitor attraction and museum.
It took us around 30 mins on the coach to arrive at the castle but it is well worth the drive. It is now a museum as such and is very well maintained. We had a guided tour and the history was explained very well from the castles conception to the family that built it (actually a Scotsman).
What I liked most was that while it is a museum walking around it still felt lived in and quite homely to me which added to its attraction. All the original artefacts and fittings are still on display and there is plenty to see. There is some great views from the windows and the gardens are well maintained. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed the guided tour and I would consider it a must see attraction when visiting Gothenburg.
You can get afternoon tea if you wish but unfortunately we did not have the time for that.
