点评:We went for the wine tasting but didn’t expect the great food and tour afterwards.
Enzo, the sommelier and tour guide, did an exceptional job explaining both the 4 wines (2 white and 2 red), as well as the historical aspects of the winery.
The tour took roughly 45 to 60 minutes; Enzo answered in detail all our questions and exhibited a good sense of humor.
I consider the Tannat red wine and the white -4 grape- blend extraordinary.
As for the food, we returned the following week and here are my favorites:
Starters:
Meat empanada (the best I had while traveling around Uruguay and Argentina).
Shrimp.
We also ordered the cheese platter, but I would put it at the bottom of the list.
Main dishes:
Lamb, simply delicious.
Salmon.
Breaded cutlet (or milanesa).
We also tasted/shared the beef, it was good but not great.
Their dulce de leche was not cloying and so good that we bought a couple jars.
A little on the remote side, but highly recommended.
