Walmer Castle and Gardens的点评
点评：We visited Walmer Castle and garden during a windy but dry and sunny day in March.
There is limited car park Inside the grounds for disabled visitors only. However there is public parking across the road. English Heritage or CSSC members are free, non members are required to pay £4 for any duration.
It was a fascinating experience to see the castle including it’s interiors which include the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports apartment (no longer used by him) The surrounding garden is large, attractive and interesting to explore including a woodland walk and kitchen garden. I can imagine how beautiful it would be during summer.
There is a tea room that offers light meals, cakes & sandwiches. There is also another cafeteria on site but it was closed when we visited.
The castle is close to the expansive shingle beach.
Very worthwhile visiting.
