Lava track and beach horse ride

点评：A very nice ride! The lava field track was quite long by itself, in retrospect i think adding on the beach at the end was a bit long for a beginner like myself. My legs were quite tired! I went alone with the guide as my spouse didnt want to ride. We came in mid may, so a bit before the peak tourist season.
The lava tour had beautiful views of the mountains, including some waterfalls. We stopped and the guide got off her horse to take pictures of me with the waterfall in the background. We had several opportunities to trot (go faster) which was quite fun. We also tried gallopping (even faster) but i found it too difficult for me and could only do it for 2 or 3 second before telling the horse to slow down. We tried twice but decided it was above my skill level.
Later in the lava field track we rode by a pond and you could also see the ocean in the distance.
For the beach add on to the ride, we also stopped and the guide took pictures again.
They offered helmets, of course, as well as waterproof pants that you put on over your pants. We were lucky that it didnt rain on the ride, but during my week in Iceland i see that it certainly rains a lot.
The guide was very friendly. The whole ride that i did (lava track and beach) was scheduled for 2 hours and took perhaps 2 hours and 15 minutes in total.
