Camps Bay after Table Mountain
Camp's Bay Beach的点评
点评：After a cold wet morning on Table Mountain a quiet stroll along a sunny Camps Bay Beach was a great way to finish off our morning tour.
We have been to Camps Bay at various time but this was a deserted beach, as out of season it is very quiet. It was a relaxing walk along the pristine white sands and a quick "toe" swim in the water, which is often colder than people think. Very much like the waters around Cornwall were we spent our childhood swimming.
During the Summer months this is one of the most popular bays around Cape Town and gets very busy with families and visitors. So if you are in Cape Town during these months and want to spend a day ay this beach then consider an early start. Car parking along the beach is limited, but the Hop on Hop off Bus is an ideal way to get here.
The back drop to the beach is probably one of the most stunning anywhere. Table Mountain (now devoid of the earlier table cloth) Lions Head. Then to the south you have the rugged expanse of the 12 Apostles standing proud against the deep blue Atlantic Ocean.
We were even lucky to watch a whale splash not far off the beach, a pleasant an unexpected sight.
Look out for the Sand Sculptors with their unique art of local land marks and wildlife.
There are plenty of places to eat and drink along the beach front and some shopping areas as well.
