Overall good experience (and a few things I wish I knew before!)
Catawba Falls的点评
点评：This was a maintained, well traveled trail. We started on the Catawba Falls trail unsure if we were going to turn around or take the Catawba Ridge trail to make the loop. We ended up doing the loop. It was a 3.5 mile hike that took us 2.5 hours (including breaks for pictures and water). A few tips if you plan to go..
-if you plan to do the loop, start with the Catawba Ridge Trail so you are walking down all the stairs (not up)
-while most of the trail is dog friendly, some of stairs are metal grates and NOT dog friend to my cowboy corgi (shoutout to my husband who carried her up the ~5 flights of metal stairs!)
-the “observation tower” is NOT optional and is part of the trail (as are ALL of the steps)
-get there early! We got there around 8 am on a Sunday with about 10 cars in the lot. The lot was nearly full when we left around 10:30.
