“Refund Refused Despite Extreme Weather and Safety Concerns

I am sharing this experience to inform other travelers.
I booked a tour with this company and had to cancel before the service was provided due to extreme and dangerous weather conditions that posed a real risk to my health. At the time of booking, the information provided regarding equipment and actual conditions was incomplete and contradictory.
Despite the cancellation being related to health and safety concerns, and despite the fact that the service was never rendered, the company refused to issue a refund.
In addition, the provider claims that I am lying about the weather conditions, insisting that temperatures “never get that cold” and that they remain between 10 and 15 degrees, while in reality the actual temperatures and wind chill are currently exceeding −50°F, a fact that can be easily verified through multiple public weather sources.
What is most concerning is not only the refusal to refund, but also the lack of empathy and professionalism in the response, including a dismissive and intimidating tone rather than a responsible, safety-focused approach.
As a result, I am now forced to proceed through my bank to dispute the charge. I strongly recommend that future customers carefully evaluate real weather conditions, cancellation policies, and the company’s attitude toward customer health and safety before booking.
