点评:This is definitely one of those “Well… yeah, I saw that!” roadside stops. 😂
You drive down a dirt road, basically into the middle of a field, and suddenly there's this giant random pyramid sitting there. There's very little information at the actual site explaining what it is, why it's there, or why someone decided Wyoming needed a massive stone pyramid in the middle of nowhere.
We actually had to research it on the drive out to figure out what we had just looked at! Turns out it has a pretty interesting connection to the Union Pacific Railroad and the original transcontinental railroad route through the area. Apparently, it was once much less random than it feels today!
Honestly, the randomness is half the fun. It's free, it's weird, it's at the end of a dirt road, and it makes for some fun pictures and an even better story.
Would I make a special trip across Wyoming just to see it? Probably not. 😂 But if you're near Laramie and enjoy strange roadside attractions, absolutely go see the random pyramid in the field.
We came. We saw. We Googled it afterward. 😂
