The water was pleasantly warm during our visit, and there were clean toilet facilities available, which is always a plus. There are also places nearby to buy food and drinks, and a few locals were enjoying the beach as well, which added to the authentic feel.
One important thing to note is the strength of the current. It was quite strong and moved sideways along the shoreline, which can carry you further down the beach without you noticing at first. It is something to be cautious of, especially for less confident swimmers.
