点评：Archaeologists have determined that the area has been occupied for at least 7,000 years. Legendary Confederate cavalry leader Nathan Bedford Forrest fought here. And it is the site of nationally recognized Tennessee River Folklife Center and Museum. Put it all together and you have Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park, a blend of outdoor recreation with regional history that covers 2,587 acres and 30 miles of hiking trails. Located at 1825 Pilot Knob Road, north of the community of Eva, Tennessee, on the western shore of the massive Kentucky Lake impoundment of the Tennessee River. Founded in 1929, it is named for Forrest, a controversial Civil War figure who defeated a Union force at the Battle of Johnsonville in 1864. The park offers seven rental cabins, an RV campground, two primitive campgrounds, a 64-person group lodge and three boat ramps. Visitors can partake in picnicking, swimming, biking, boating, fishing, camping, bird-watching, backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, wildlife viewing, disc golf and paddle boarding.
