点评:As part of a family holiday, because we were in the area, and weather was not great to go to the beach, we decided to visit the winery, given the great reviews and strong recommendations. We were 8 adults. Process to book the visit was per email, fast and straightforward. We were told that tour was going to be in Spanish, what was perfect, because we are all Spanish native speakers. When we arrived, there was quite a debate on whether the tour should be in Spanish or Catalan, and finally it did end up being 70% Spanish and 30% Catalan, mainly because one particular couple attending pushed for it to be in Catalan. The visit itself was very interesting and a good learning about wine production using traditional methods. Really impressive and great to see the passion they put on this. And for wine lovers like us, it was mind-opening.
However, during the visit, the guide (one member of the family which owns the place) made some heavily politically loaded comments, which in my view don't belong to a tour, mainly when you don't know the audience. I understand the sensitivities in Spain around Catalonia and Madrid around (i.e) the language, and also the pressure that small companies like this face in the modern world, but comments around "the right of farmers to block roads to try to get paid fair price for their products" or "we are victims of the big corporations managed by people who run agri-business with an IPhone whilst driving a Ferrari without knowing much about it" are ok to be made in a closed circle of people, between well known friends, but definitely not in a tour where you simply don't know who is in the audience. I admire the commitment and passion, but as said, some comments were out of tone and out of place, and simply didn't land very well.
